Suicide Loss Survivor’s Group
- Has an important person in your life died by suicide?
- Are you hurt and exhausted by people expecting you to “move on” or “get over” the suicide loss of your person?
Come meet other people who “get it.” A suicide loss survivor is a term used to describe anyone who lost a significant person in their life to suicide. This is a therapy group for suicide loss survivors aged 18 and older who have experienced the suicide loss of a close person in their life, whether it be a parent, child, sibling, partner, other family member, or close friend. The suicide loss could have happened months, years, or decades ago.
Group therapy is helpful for survivors of suicide loss not because grief is a disorder or problem, but because suicide loss is traumatic and the post-loss world can be lonely and isolating. More often than not, suicide loss survivors report feeling as though there is no place untouched by the traumatic loss of their person. Authentic safe spaces for disclosing grief and trauma helps to foster the capacity to cope with the ongoing demands of surviving suicide loss.
This group is anticipated to begin in March 2023, meeting virtually on Thursday evenings from 7 pm – 8:30 pm.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist
I have expertise providing individual psychotherapy for grief/traumatic loss and chronic pain including migraines, and several years of experience treating PTSD, anxiety, and chronic health conditions. I completed my doctoral internship at Jefferson Headache Center as part of a comprehensive team of headache specialists.
My orientation is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness. I am board certified in biofeedback. Relaxation and other physiological processes will be emphasized in our work together in order to enhance your ability to identify, monitor, and adjust your nervous system and manage the effects of stress and/or trauma on your body and mind.
My goal for therapy is to create an inclusive and safe space for us to talk openly and authentically, collaborate, and make meaningful and long-lasting change using evidence-based interventions.
